2021 was a year of both challenges and progress for the field of complex care. The ongoing pandemic continues to restrict in-person engagements, overload professional and family care providers, and threaten the physical and economic health of individuals with complex health and social needs. Despite these challenges, the field has made significant advancements toward implementing the recommendations in the National Center’s Blueprint for Complex Care.
