This case study highlights KCEOC Community Action Partnership, a Community Action Agency that develops local partnerships and conduct an annual needs assessment to respond to locally identified needs and to coordinate local programming.
KCEOC, as part of a national network, operates under the philosophy that a “hand up” is more effective than a “handout” and provides local opportunity to break the poverty cycle for residents of southeastern Kentucky. KCEOC has a multitude of ongoing partnerships across sectors and topical areas as part of its plan to align all the necessary pieces in the community to make sure that its broad vision is being enacted.
Aligning Systems for Health: Health Care + Public Health + Social Services, supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and managed by the Georgia Health Policy Center, is focused on learning from stakeholders across the nation about effective ways to align these three sectors to better meet people’s goals and needs.
