August 10: Building Data Sharing Capacity: Advice from a Panel of Experts

This event was the first of four in a series on the core components of the Aligning framework: Data, Shared Purpose, Governance, and Financing.

Connected information systems and access to shared data from different sectors can help communities plan, monitor, innovate, and respond to improve health. Having shared data and measurement systems drives greater collaboration and helps partners define and track success.

On August 10, Aligning Systems for Health at the Georgia Health Policy Center, in collaboration with Data Across Sectors for Health, brought together a panel of data experts to discuss the practical implications of sharing data across healthcare, public health, and social services. Speakers included Antwi Akom, PhD (Streetwyze), Brittney G. Mosley, MS (Mississippi State Department of Health), Ernie Morganstern, MPA (Trenton Health Team) and moderator Ella Auchincloss (ReThink Health).
